To apply for a Sparrow credit card, you need to:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a Social Security Number (SSN)
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions
- Not have an existing Sparrow credit card
If you meet these eligibility requirements, you will need to provide the following information:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- U.S. address
- Email address
- U.S. mobile phone number
- Income and housing information
The good news is, it doesn’t take long for Sparrow to process your application. Your application status will be displayed seconds after applying. In case you missed it, we will also send you an email letting you know whether your application was approved or if we need additional information.
Why is my application in pending status?
Sometimes, we may require additional information or documents to finalize our review of a credit card application. If this is the case, we will send you an email detailing what we need to move forward with your application. You will have 30 days to submit the required documentation. If we do not receive the required information within this timeframe, then we will decline your application.
How can I get a status update on my application?

You should receive your card within 5-7 business days from when your credit card application was approved or from when you requested a card replacement. Once you receive your credit card in the mail, please activate it so it’s ready to use. You can activate your card through our mobile app or by calling us at 1-800-897-9702.
If you need a card sooner than that, you can use your virtual card available in your mobile app right away! Talk about convenience!
If it has been over 15 days and you still have not received your card, please call us so we can send you a replacement card.
You absolutely can! If you previously applied for a Sparrow credit card and were declined, you can apply again after 60 days.
