How do I enroll/unenroll in paperless statements and communications?

You can easily update your preference for how you want to receive statements and other communications from Sparrow. Simply follow these steps:


Step 1:

Login to the Sparrow mobile app.


Step 2:

Go to the Settings tab and select Communication Preferences from the options.


Step 3:

Locate the “Go paperless?” button in the middle of the screen.


Step 4:

Paperless Statements:

To turn on paperless, toggle the button to the right, it should turn blue.


Paper Statements:

To turn off paperless, toggle the button to the left, it should turn grey.


Step 5:

You will receive an email confirming the change in your preferences.


What rewards can I earn with my Sparrow credit card? And how do I redeem them?

You can earn 1% cashback for every on-time payment you make to your Sparrow card.  This means that the more you use your card and pay us back, the more rewards you are able to earn! 


We’ve made it super easy and convenient for you to get back the cash you’ve earned. At the end of your statement cycle, we will automatically redeem your cashback as a statement credit. It’s important to remember that even though your cashback credit will reduce your balance, it will not count as part of your payment.

How do I close my credit card account?

We’re sorry to hear that you wish to close your account, but hope you will continue to keep us in mind for your future credit card needs!


To close your account, call us at 1-800-839-9797. If you have an outstanding balance, you must continue to make your monthly payments until your remaining balance is paid in full. Your account will continue to be subject to interest and fees, including the annual fee, until the balance is paid off.


Please remember to cancel any automatic payments or subscriptions linked to your account.

How do I add an authorized user?

We currently do not allow customers to add an authorized user to their account. If you have any questions, please call us at 1-800-839-9797 or send us an email to [email protected].

How do I change my legal name?

In order to update your name on your Sparrow account, please send us an email to [email protected]. Please include copies of the following documents: 


A valid government-issued photo ID with the new name: 

  • Driver’s License
  • State ID
  • Passport

The legal document supporting the name change:

  • Marriage certificate
  • Divorce decree
  • Court order name change
  • Adoption certificate

Once one of our team members has reviewed your request and documents, we will send you communication confirming the update or asking for additional information, if needed.


After your name change is complete, we will mail you a new card with the updated name.  Your new card should arrive within 5-7 days, but you can use your virtual card while you wait for it.
